  2. New mail client [data gathering mode 07-08]
  3. Network Prefs/Preferred Network (check all recommendations for Prefs Pane in ATSE resource books)
  4. NeoOffice
  5. Updated versions of all Open Source software (list all avaliable)(see 2007-08 listed below)
  6. Firefox 2x (vs. 3 too buggy still on 10.4.11)
  7. No QuickMail (current users need to place app in homedir/applicatioins for backwards compatibility)
  8. Keyboard software with accountability for student progress built in (Web 2.0)
  9. CMAP - this is Open Source concept mapping software that will take the place of Inspiration district-wide

  1. MS Office (only middle&high school) *Moving to Open Office/Neo Office summer of 2008
  2. SpyMe Client/Server depending
  3. GoogleNotebook Extension
  4. GoogleEarth ...great GoogleEarth resources, overlays, etc.
  5. WindowsMediaPlayer
  6. FlashPlayer
  7. RealPlayer
  8. Inspiration w/KeyAccess (levels? 5+) (only used a few times a year-Web 2.0 options available)
  9. Two browsers (Firefox/Safarri)
  10. Appleworks (levels? Is there something more stable for 5-6 grade) -for drawing & painting...NO :-) km
  11. SmartBoard Software 9.5 - (GHS staff)
  12. QuickTime Pro (trained staff) although Zamzar will do most of the same conversions.
  13. QuickMail(still need to check on stability for Intel machines) for staff
--UPDATE: new MacBook users will be testing AppleMail this year as we gear up to transition away from a dying application. QuickMail Pro. Much sadness. hehe
--UPDATE: Thunderbird Mail was selected and used instead of AppleMail for the 07-08 Intel users.

Will any/all new h.s. machines need the biology software....or will that remain isolated to the SciLab machines.
--I don't want to have to install but if it's needed by a student...certainly we will install on their machine. -km

Need to make sure the elementary machines have the system folder for OS 9, to run the older software apps from the server.
